Judge's lawyers get more time for plagiarism case

TAMPA - Lawyers in the plagiarism case against Hillsborough Circuit Judge Greg Holder will present evidence to the Judicial Qualifications Commission at a hearing rescheduled for Sept. 20.

Lawyers representing Holder had asked the JQC for a 90-day delay of the hearing, which had been scheduled for June 14.

Holder said he needed more time to prepare because one of his key attorneys, Greg Kehoe, was flying to Iraq to help prepare criminal cases against Saddam Hussein and his toppled regime.

Holder is accused of cribbing another man's paper for promotion in the Air Force Reserve. He has denied the allegations.
